♥ Oh where did all the moola go? ♥
8.17.2008
To start things up, my two nuffnang ads didn't even earn me enough to have a decent meal, that means not many people are reading this blog and hence I can like openly declare my political stand, my view on racism, my opinions on animal cruelty and family violence without getting into much trouble. *beams*
But then, not that I am so opinionated, I can't really be bothered by the above, at least not yet la.
Eunice showed me a video by some website urging people to go vegan, in the video, chickens, cows and pigs are tortured to the extreme (*note extreme, electric chairs and guillotines don't even come close). Obviously the video made a huge impact, I was squirmming and covering my eyes as the poor farm animals get tortured before they are finally slaughtered.
laanimalservices.blogspot.com
Poor living environment, being castrated and mutilated without painkillers, forced into producing eggs/milk, etc
After they show all these inhuman actions, the last sentence that came out was "choose vegetables" or somewhere along that line.
WHY
FINE THEY ARE RUTHLESSLY KILLING THE ANIMALS, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST GO SUE THEM OR LET THE GOVERNMENT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT? THE FACT THAT THESE WHATSOEVER FARMS STILL EXIST PROVES THAT YOUR COUNTRY/THAT COUNTRY IS ALLOWING SUCH ACTS RIGHT? THEN YOU SHOULD BE PERSUADING THE GOVERNMENT TO IMPLEMENT SOME LAWS OR SOMETHING WHAT.
Like if the whole world turns vegan nothing will happen like that, sekali farmers use some extreme growth chemicals on carrots till they grow to the size of your fridge and when you eat them you just get some unknown cancer call CARROIAPINASIA or something. I don't know.
http://img.dailymail.co.uk/ Just...track out these farms, get the government to do something la. Eh hello, the fact that you can happily go to these farms and film the torturing animals means you have the location and the identity of those animal mutilators right. So it's not THAT hard to track them down is it?
Fine, the whole world turns vegan, period. But Homosapiens are omnivorous no? Eat meat AND vegetables.
Note, I say meat, since carnivorous means meat-eater, and herbivorous means plant-eater and not PROTEIN and VEGETABLES.
Because I'm pretty much sure that vegans will argue "we only need PROTEIN, not MEAT, we can get our protein from BEANS"
*yawns*
Anyway, in response to such inhuman acts in order to satisfy us humans, there are several brands that manufacture items with a message behind each line of their products (weird sentence structure, my brain is dying).
For example, the most heard of is
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . BODYSHOPAgainst animal testing, and often with campaigns like anti family abuse la and this and that. Of course it makes the consumers feel that they are doing a good deed and at the same time splurging on their products.
Me? Ok I only like their products, I know they are against animal testing soooo...ok. Good lor. Sorry I can't be FULLY against animal testing because I'm pretty sure 75% of my health being products are still, and will continue to be tested on animals.
You? Don't lie, I don't believe anyone is so 100% pure organic.
Since bodyshop is having a huge treat for their members, Nicholas decided to drag me down to their newly opened outlet at Compasspoint. What can I say, the staffs are ultra friendly as usual, it's like Bodyshop specially put them in some hell training for customer service if not they will be whipped by a pure natural whip made out of cactus spikes.
HAHAHAHAH. ok not funny. But yes, I'm very impressed by bodyshop staffs, they know the products well, they are attentive, and they know what range of their items are best suited for YOU, or me, the super hard to please creature sent in from planet ula-ula.
I have a weakness for good service, you can try to sell me a piece of plain paper for $5 with amzingly good service. Plain paper hor, not flowery printed ones. Hence, these are my loot of the day:
Tea Tree Oil to be known as TTO from here onwards TTO facial wash, TTO facial toner, TTO body wash Freebies: mascara and body butter.
And the close up. I friggin heart the TTO range can, I have really terok face that's like run over 245621624 times by an army tank and blemishes keep appearing out of nowhere. Until like 2 months ago I bought Bodyshop's TTO exfoliator and PRESTO, I feel that it really cleans your poresand made your face feel so super clean, best - it doesn't dry it out.
So, I guiltily bought these items and I'm very sure I will continue to buy the other items from this range if it works for me.
We were at Loyang point and I saw this pouch going at $18, I'm pretty sure outside will sell like over $20 odd for a psp pouch one right, so I stupidly bought. Ok la, not that I don't like it but maybe there are places with even lower price then this. *shrugs*
It's nice to be a driver right. Today we went from IKEA to MY HOUSE to LOYANG POINT to COMPASSPOINT to ANCHORVALE RECREATIONAL COMPLEX.
hearts =)
