♥ Road junctions ♥
4.21.2007
A few days back I spotted a popular culture in Singapore while I was on the bus to school. The bus stopped at this junction, and it didn't budge even when the green arrow just appeared, I don't know why, maybe it's the timetable thing that bus drivers have to follow or else they will be castrated or something.
Then my eyes voluntarily turned to the black road, and presto alakazam! There it is again! A cap that had been run over by vehicles 2465743672146571 times. Flat like tissue prata, dirty like a dirty cap.
Then I realised...hmm, it's not just caps people drop in the middle of the road junction. Umbrellas, slippers (tons of these), shoes, pouches etc..
After thinking for a few seconds, I came down to the following possible explanations:
1) There's no trashbin in the middle of the road junction, and these people feel that they HAVE TO throw away something lest it explodes on them.
2) They just bought a new trail slippers and decided to change into the new pair in the middle of the junction.
3) There was a friggin accident which killed none but a slipper/umbrella/pouch. And since these are not insured, they were left to be run over again and again on the road.
4) Their religion requires them to remove a piece of their clothing everytime they cross the junction.
Kudos.
Or maybe someone really met an accident and the bangalas can't be bothered to clean up the mess lest he offend the decease.
Random rubbish. CIAOS.
